Return Policy

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase you may exchange it or return it for a refund or credit. (SHIPPING CHARGES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE.) Simply return the gift in its original container. Please Include Insurance with the return of the gift. We are not responsible for items lost in transit.
Returns or exchanges claims must be made via Email within 5 days of gift being received or delivered. Returned Gifts must be received by us within 10 days of receipt of gift. Returns or refunds due to delivery failure by a requested delivery day are not allowed since we do not guarantee date specific delivery.
All claims must be submitted to us via e-mail. Claims will not be accepted via the phone.
Perishables: We apologize, we do not issue refunds on gourmet food products or perishable foods, chocolates being melted. due to health and safety concerns. There are simply too many variables out of our control once carriers picks up the package. In addition Carriers does not pay claims on melted items.
Damaged - Defective - Loss
We also offer Replacement for any damaged, loss or defective Gifts as long as the claim is placed within 48 HOURS of the gift being received. All damage claims must be reported to us via email at [email protected] within 48 HOURS of the gift being delivered. Claims will not be accepted via the phone. Note: Replacements will only be issued if damaged gifts or discrepancies can be verified by the carrier.
Loss Claims: Must be reported to us via email within 14 days from order date. We will need to file a claim with carrier. Most often, our delivery providers (UPS, Fedex, DHL) have a signature release waiver on standard - Ground shipment, and will leave packages at their own discretion (front porch, backdoor, neighbor, etc.) if they feel it is a secure location. With the exceptions of wine gift baskets which requires an adult signature. Expedited shipments may require a signature depending on the carrier. Delivery Tracking information is provided on all packages. We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages after delivery, but we will  gladly assist you filing a claim and putting a tracer on the package with the carrier for recovery or for a refund from the delivery carrier.
If a customer disposes of the gift and does not return the gift before we can verify the damages or discrepancy we will not issue any refund.
Substitutions: Because of the popularity of our gifts at times we may need to substitute items, as we make changes to our inventory based upon discovery on new and unique items, product availability and seasonal difference. During summer months May - October, chocolate in regular gifts may be substituted with hard candy items. Therefore, Substitution may be made, but quality will never be compromised. Gift Baskets Etc reserves the right to substitute products.
Cancellation Policy:
We take pride in our customer service at Gift Baskets Etc and this includes not only the quality of our products, but also the speed of our service and shipping. Keeping this in mind, we require that any cancellation be made within 12 hours of order confirmation.

Any orders not canceled within 12 hours will be subject to a non-refundable handling fee and service charge equal to 25% of the total order.

The 12 hours cancellation does not apply to orders where the next day shipping has been requested. In the case of next day shipping request, all order must be canceled within 3 hours of order confirmation or be subject to the same restrictions as outlined above. All canceled orders placed with a credit card that has already been processed will be subject to a $6.00 cancellation fee.
If carrier returns a gift due to being refused a 25% restocking fee, and shipping fee  to return to us applies. Shipping charges usually consist of shipping to the recipient, shipping back to Gift Baskets Etc. (We do not issue refunds on gourmet food products or perishable foods).
Charges will apply for any chargeback fees and bank fees on behalf of our company should you decide to reverse or challenge any charges made to your credit card if the chargeback outcome is made in our favor. Standard chargeback fee is usually $35. Bank fees may vary.
INCOMPLETE SHIPPING ADDRESS:  If and  Incomplete shipping address is provided  by customer in which  a gift may not be shipped to recipient because is lacking a shipping address. Gift Basket Etc will attempt to obtain a complete shipping  address from customer for the the recipient to complete order by contacting customer, via Email and phone. 
If no reply is received from customer,  within 2- 3 days of when order was placed (Day indicated on order receipt).  Gift Baskets Etc reserves the right to ship  the order to Customers address. Gift Baskets Etc will provide Email Tracking confirmation to customer when order has been shipped. 
We regret no refund will be issued for incomplete addresses after order has been shipped to customer or by refusal of gift by customer after order has been shipped due to customer NOT providing us with the recipients complete shipping address.
